PROCESSES

R & R POWDER COATING is an environmentally friendly company. All of our processes are kind to our environment. Our pretreatment wastewater is closely monitored and filtered to strict guidelines. Our coating process (powdercoating) uses no solvents and does not even require an air quality permit when operated under the equipment parameters. 95+-% of the coating  material is captured and reused. The curing process is so safe, an Air Quality permit is not even required.  Plastic media blasting produces no hazardous waste byproducts. Our chemical stripping process recirculates and reuses chemicals.  A very small amount of non-hazardous waste is dehydrated and taken to a landfill in compliance with all laws and regulations.

PRETREAT
The most technologically advanced powder coating is of little value on a substrate that is improperly prepared for coating.  The R & R Powder Coating pretreatment process thoroughly cleans and prepares steel and aluminum for excellent adhesion and corrosion protection.  Top that off with the excellence of powder coating, and you have a part that will stand the test of time.  A quality powder coating will surpass most other coating processes in beauty and durability.

POWDER COATING
R & R Powder Coating uses all Wagner powder application and reclaim equipment.  Two "Cymod" powder booths have the capability to reclaim up to 95% of overspray that can be returned to the system for reuse.  This greatly decreases the powder usage, resulting in a much more economical and efficient process.

CURE OVEN
Parts are baked to thermochemically crosslink the powder.  R & R Powder Coating has 2 bake ovens.  The oven pictured has a dwell time of 30 minutes with temperatures up to 450 degrees.

PACKAGING
Packaging is a critical final step in the powdercoating process.  Special care is taken to assure that the powder coated parts are packed in a way that will protect the finish from damage.  We can ship direct to your customer with parts packaged to your specifications.  First impressions are very important so we take care to make sure that the finished package shows the same excellent quality as the product inside.  We want it to arrive at the customer's dock in the same excellent condition as when it left our dock.
